First ski day of the season

We skied Copper Mountain on Sunday after the ski mountain opened for the season on Friday, November 3. The snow was surprisingly good and even the Poma at the top was open for access to Hallelujah Ridge. The parking lot was full and the lines were long, but who cares? The snow was great, and this early in the season, the legs need a break in between runs.

The weather forecast says that this will be an el Nino year, and that usually means good snow for us in Colorado! It certainly looks good so far this year, with a couple of feet already in October. Last year was a great snow year and we would like to make it two in a row!
