What’s going on with residential real estate at Copper Mountain? It looks to be an anomaly. Is Copper Mountain bucking the trend of the rest of the county and choosing it’s own path?
Inventory in the county is up 28% in the last month but Copper’s inventory remains flat.
Residential sales at Copper haven’t exactly been robust through May this year. But June is looking promising with 8 properties going under contract. The number of properties going under contract is a peek into future sales and, for June, Copper is making up 7.5% of pendings in the county when typical market share is only around 4%.
Summit County as a whole has higher sales this year than last while Copper Mountain sales are lagging.

It’s hard to say what the future holds for real estate at Copper Mountain. However, this could be the first sign of a disconnect that is worth keeping an eye on.
