The 22-23 ski season is underway! This season A-Basin claimed the first to open title with an opening day of October 23rd. Keystone has announced their opening on October 28th and Winter Park on Halloween day. Winter Park actually has a scheduled opening of November 17th but has jumped the line opening with limited terrain. Before the opening of A-Basin, natural snow was in short supply. However, new snowfall showed up for opening day and the snow machines have barely shut off since. I expect Loveland will be announcing their opening day very soon.
Opening dates
Most remaining Colorado resorts are scheduled to open in the next few weeks for the 22-23 ski season. Here are opening dates for some of the nearby resorts. Of course, these dates are subject to change.
- Breckenridge: November 11
- Copper Mountain: November 14
- Vail: November 11
- Beaver Creek: November 23
- Eldora: November 18
- Steamboat: November 23
- Crested Butte: November 23
- Snowmass: November 24
- Ski Cooper: December 7
Hopefully the snow keeps coming and, after a couple of average winters, we will enjoy above average snowfall that some are predicting. Regardless, it is going to be a fantastic 22-23 ski season!
The real estate market has slowed so if you have been considering a ski-in/ski-out home in Summit County, there are quite a few to choose from.
