10 Mile Music Hall is Frisco’s newest music venue. They just opened in October and have a ton of acts already scheduled for the season. Some I have never heard of, others are so popular it’s surprising they are playing such an intimate venue. Take a look at their upcoming schedule.
New Construction
10 Mile Music Hall is a brand new building on Main Street in Frisco. It’s near the corner of Main & Summit Blvd, next door to the old Backcountry Brewery, which is now High Side Brewery.
The lower level floor is generally a standing area for the audience. They turned it inot the seating area for our show with folding chairs set up. There are restrooms, a coat check and large bar. I don’t think we had to wait in a bar line that had more than one person in it while we were there.
Upstairs is a balcony area with a smaller bar and restrooms. There are two big garage doors that will open up to an outdoor patio. It was too cold to open them last night but I can imagine this would be a cool spot to listen to the music in the summer.
10 Mile Music Hall Tickets
Last night we saw Tab Benoit at 10 Mile Music Hall. We paid $35 for front row seats. If we wanted to stand in the balcony area, we could have paid just $15 a ticket. It was a great show and a great venue. Of course, not all shows are such a bargain. The Disco Biscuits, for example, had prices up to $320 and the show is sold out.
Take a peek at the venue and a snippit of the music.
Our Recommendations
We were in the front row for the show and had a hard time hearing the vocals. We think it is because the speakers are up high. While the front row was nice, next time, if there are chairs, we’ll probably try and be a few rows further back and see how it sounds.
The last song was a jam session with all the artists on stage playing. I really enjoyed it but it was so loud I couldn’t hear very well afterwards. Ear plugs would have been great to have with me so I could have put them in and saved my ears a little bit. Uh-oh, I must be getting old!
